Overview
The post holder will be required to work effectively as part of the team to ensure a high standard of care is provided. They will be responsible for the assessment, development, implementation and evaluation of care. They will co-ordinate care on the children\'s ward providing clear professional leadership. The post holder will act as an advisor on paediatric issues throughout the Trust out of hours. The post holder will liaise closely with parents/carers and all members of the multidisciplinary team and thus ensure effective communication of all relevant information.
Responsibilities
* Work effectively as part of the team to ensure a high standard of care on the children\'s ward.
* Assess, develop, implement and evaluate care plans.
* Coordinate care on the children\'s ward and provide clear professional leadership.
* Act as an advisor on paediatric issues throughout the Trust out of hours.
* Liaise closely with parents/carers and all members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure effective communication of all relevant information.
Qualifications and Experience
* Significant experience on a general paediatric ward.
* Proven shift management skills.
