A high-impact leadership opportunity at a fast-scaling, cloud-native financial services business. This is your chance to take full ownership of the data strategy - spanning engineering, analytics, governance, and AI - and shape how data drives the future of the organisation.
You’ll lead a growing multi-disciplinary team and partner with senior stakeholders across product, technology, risk, and operations to embed data into the core of decision-making, product design, and strategic planning. It’s a great fit for someone who blends technical depth, commercial thinking, and a passion for building high-performance data teams.
What you’ll be doing:
* Own and lead the enterprise data strategy – across infrastructure, analytics, and AI/ML.
* Build and scale the team – including engineers, analysts, scientists, and AI/ML specialists.
* Shape the data platform – ensuring it’s scalable, reliable, and ready for AI-driven innovation.
* Drive analytics and BI – enabling self-serve tools, structured reporting, and decision-support insight.
* Support responsible AI adoption – working alongside an AI Engineer to build ethical and scalable models.
* Define governance frameworks – from access and privacy to data quality, retention, and compliance.
What we’re looking for:
* Strong experience in data leadership – ideally within fintech, SaaS, or regulated tech environments.
* Technical depth across data engineering, analytics, or data science.
* Hands-on familiarity with modern data stacks – SQL, dbt, Airflow, Snowflake, Looker/Power BI.
* Understanding of the AI/ML lifecycle – including tooling (Python, MLflow) and best-practice MLOps.
* Comfortable working across finance, risk, and commercial functions.
* Experience operating in a regulated environment, ideally with exposure to dual regulation and resilience frameworks.
