A welcoming and inclusive infant school in Salisbury is seeking a dedicated individual to join their team full-time, working within the classroom to support pupils across EYFS and KS1 – including those with special educational needs. As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers and the SENCo to provide in-class support for a range of learners, including children with SEND. Your role will involve helping pupils engage with learning activities, supporting them with focus and communication, and delivering targeted interventions in reading and maths to help close learning gaps. You’ll be an important part of the classroom team, contributing to a positive, calm, and encouraging learning environment. We are looking for someone who: Has recent experience as a Teaching Assistant in an infant or primary school Has worked with pupils with SEND within the classroom environment Can confidently support learning in phonics, early reading and maths Works collaboratively with teaching staff and adapts flexibly to the needs of the class Has a calm, positive, and encouraging approach to supporting pupils Is enthusiastic about outdoor learning and the benefits of a Forest School ethos Holds a relevant Level 2 or 3 TA qualification (preferred, not essential for experienced applicants) This is an excellent opportunity to join a caring and forward-thinking school where your experience and input will be truly valued.
