My client, a market-leading multidisciplinary Civil and Environmental Consultancy, is searching for an Assistant Flood Risk Consultant to join their innovative team. This role offers hybrid working from Shrewsbury. It is essential that applicants have a strong academic background in Hydrology, Civil, or Water Engineering and experience working for a UK-based Consultancy or Water Company completing flood risk assessments or hydrological assessments.
It is beneficial for applicants to live locally to attend site visits in flood risk areas. This exciting opportunity allows candidates to join an experienced team to complete flood risk assessments, catchment management, surface water, nutrient neutrality, re-wilding, and natural flood management projects for Local Authorities, Water Companies, and Government Bodies. Candidates will be required to complete:
* Flood Risk Assessments
* Natural flood management
* Re-wilding and habitat management
* Re-wetting farmland and wetland creation
* Surface water management plans
* Large-scale catchment management plans
* Nutrient neutrality assessments
* Water quality sampling and assessments for local rivers
* Pollution incidents
* Flow calculations
* Flood estimation
