Job Opportunity: Humanities Teacher (Supply) - Flintshire
New Directions Education is seeking qualified Humanities teachers to work on supply basis in secondary schools across Flintshire. The roles aim to enrich the learning and development of KS3 & KS4 students. We welcome applications from both experienced teachers and newly qualified teachers (NQTs), provided you hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
The positions offer flexibility, with opportunities for long-term placements or ad hoc days, according to your availability. The start date is immediate from September.
Candidate Requirements:
* Strong classroom management and organisational skills
* High initiative and ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Ability to motivate pupils and achieve excellent results
Role Details:
Responsibilities include teaching KS3, KS4, and potentially KS5 in various humanities subjects such as art history, classical studies, creative writing, English language and literature, history, modern languages, music, philosophy, sociology, and religious studies. The role emphasizes personal and social development and pastoral care, ideal for those interested in anthropological aspects of humanities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Teach all areas of the curriculum or your subject specialism
* Organise classroom and resources to foster a positive learning environment
* Plan and deliver lessons catering to diverse student abilities
* Motivate pupils with engaging presentation
* Assess and record pupils’ progress
* Support colleagues and coordinate activities within your curriculum area
