We are appointing an enthusiastic Healthcare Assistant to join our client’s team, working at their Care Home in Wishaw. This role is ideal for those passionate about providing high-quality care and support to residents.
Responsibilities
* Promote a full and active life for each resident
* Organise activities to keep residents engaged
* Assist with serving and preparing meals, drinks and clearing up afterwards
* Support the Nurse on duty, Physiotherapist or Chiropodist when required
* Report changes in residents’ condition to the Nurse on Duty
* Report incidents within the home to ensure they are recorded in the incident book
* Care for residents’ property and belongings as directed
* Ensure equipment is maintained and report any defects to a Manager
* Accompany residents to activities outside the Home when required
* Support with personal care
* Clean up spills using the correct equipment as specified in the Control of Infection Policy
* Assist with other duties as required
Requirements
* Ideally working towards or hold an SVQ Level 2 Health and Social Care
* Understanding of National Care Standards and Codes of Conduct
* Maintain confidentiality at all times
* Have a passion to deliver high levels of care at all times
* SSSC Registration or willingness to register within the specified timescale

* Salary up to £28,828 per annum (plus available overtime)
* Flexible, permanent, full-time shifts: 44, 33 or 22 hours per week
* Excellent rate of pay £12.60 per hour
