We are seeking an experienced or aspiring KS2 Teacher with English/Literacy Lead responsibility for a school in Shard End.
This is an excellent opportunity for a strong classroom practitioner who is ready to take on or further develop subject leadership in English, driving improvements in reading, writing, and whole-school literacy outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Teach a KS2 class and ensure high standards of progress and attainment
* Lead English/Literacy across KS2 or whole school
* Develop and implement effective English curriculum plans
* Monitor pupil progress and drive targeted interventions
* Support and coach staff to improve English teaching and outcomes
* Promote reading for pleasure and writing across the curriculum
* Work closely with SLT on whole-school improvement priorities
Candidate Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Proven KS2 teaching experience
* Strong understanding of the KS2 English curriculum
* Experience in or readiness for subject leadership (English/Literacy)
* Strong classroom management and pupil progress focus
* Passion for raising literacy standards
