We are looking for a Yard Hand Operative for a full-time permanent role based in Newton Abbot. This is a physically demanding role working in an outdoor yard environment and would suit someone who enjoys hands-on work and being part of a busy team.
The role involves general yard duties, loading and unloading goods, manual handling, and operating a counterbalance forklift for part of the day.

Key Responsibilities
* Carry out general yard duties including organising materials and maintaining a clean and safe working environment
* Load and unload goods safely and efficiently
* Complete manual handling and heavy lifting on a daily basis
* Operate a counterbalance forklift for around two hours per day
* Support the wider team with day-to-day operational tasks
* Keep the yard clean, organised, and safe at all times
Qualifications
Essential
* Valid and in-date Counterbalance Forklift Licence
* Physically fit and capable of heavy lifting
* Strong work ethic and proactive attitude
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Ready to start immediately
Desirable
* Previous experience in a yard, warehouse, or industrial environment
* Experience using a counterbalance forklift in a busy workplace
