New Resource Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Production & Hygiene Manager to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring the efficient running of production operations while maintaining the highest hygiene and safety standards across the factory. You will lead production and hygiene teams, ensure quality standards are met, and drive continuous improvement across the site.
Key Responsibilities
Production
* Plan and deliver production schedules alongside the Customer Service Planning Manager
* Manage people, equipment and materials to maximise efficiency and minimise waste
* Ensure all products meet required quality standards
* Monitor production costs and identify opportunities for improvement
* Lead, support and develop production operatives, line leaders and supervisors
* Drive continuous improvement and efficiency initiatives
Hygiene
* Maintain and improve factory hygiene and sanitation standards
* Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance
* Develop hygiene policies, procedures and cleaning schedules
* Supervise and train the hygiene team to ensure best practices are followed
* Manage ordering and stock control of hygiene chemicals and consumables
* Maintain auditable records and report hygiene-related issues where required
Health & Safety
* Promote and role model safe working practices
* Ensure procedures for accidents, near misses and emergencies are followed
* Support a safe working environment across all departments
About You
* Experience in FMCG or food manufacturing
* Strong leadership and team management skills
* HACCP Level 2 and Food Safety Level 3 (or equivalent)
* Allergen awareness training
* Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
* Confident communicator with good stakeholder management skills
* Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
