Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer – London
SSA are currently recruiting for a leading M&E contractor who are looking for an intermediate level Electrical Design Engineer to join their team to complete projects on high-end luxury apartments. Their main role will require them to direct and co–ordinate a team mixed with Engineers and Designers. The candidate will also have the responsibility for electrical designs and technical advice and provide guidance for all parties in the project.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Coordinate the installation and commissioning of the electrical requirements of the projects
2. Electrical design, problem solving, technical analysis
3. Give project management advice to contractors, allocate design contracts and complete reviews and contract activities
4. Work with the Electrical Division of the project to ensure successful overall project completion
5. Coordinate on-site commissioning and acceptance testing of the equipment
6. Provide technical documents to aid in the commissioning process of the project
7. Prepare and develop calculations, analysis, schematics, drawings, diagrams, models, specifications and any documents relating to the project's designs
8. Understand resource requirements, risk and technical quality to ensure delivery of effective solutions to problems
9. Attend project sites and works testing
The Ideal Candidate:
1. 2+ years experience of electrical design with an M&E contractor
2. Efficient in COM, risk assessment and external and internal auditing
3. Proof of experience covering a range of electrical topics including design, analysis, specification, installation and commissioning
4. Ability to lead and develop others and manage cross–team works
5. Sufficient background knowledge to be able to propose and debate alternative solutions to electrical and operational requirements
