Overview
Careers Adviser across Oldham, Tameside, Rochdale. Salary: £30,472.44. Part-time, Temporary (adhoc as needed).
We are recruiting a qualified Careers Adviser to deliver impartial careers information, advice and guidance across the East Manchester region. This is a flexible, ad hoc role providing sickness and holiday cover in schools, colleges and training providers as needed.
Responsibilities
* Delivering one-to-one and group careers guidance sessions
* Creating individual action or development plans tailored to each learner
* Supporting students with job searches, application forms and UCAS processes
* Providing up-to-date careers and labour market information
* Contributing to PSHE and careers education programmes
* Managing a fluctuating caseload and setting SMART targets
* Maintaining accurate records and working to funding body requirements
* Supporting learners in accessing education, training or employment pathways
Requirements
* A minimum Level 6 qualification in Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG)
* Experience delivering careers advice in schools, colleges or similar settings
* A strong understanding of the local labour market and post-16 options
* Confidence in building rapport and motivating individuals
* Ability to manage a caseload and work to targets
* Excellent communication, organisational and IT skills
* Flexibility to travel across sites and provide short-notice cover as needed
