Duties
* Lead and supervise the kitchen team, fostering a positive and efficient working environment
* Oversee food production, ensuring consistency and presentation standards are met
* Develop innovative menus in collaboration with management, catering to diverse customer preferences
* Manage food preparation and cooking processes, maintaining high standards of quality and hygiene
* Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and health & safety policies
* Monitor stock levels, order supplies, and control wastage to optimise kitchen efficiency
* Train and mentor junior staff, promoting professional development within the team
* Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area at all times
Experience
* Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen environment
* Extensive food production and culinary experience, with a strong focus on quality and presentation
* Demonstrable team management skills, capable of motivating staff and fostering teamwork
* Solid background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and menu development
* Experience working in busy restaurant or hospitality settings, with a good understanding of food safety standards
* Knowledge of restaurant operations, including serving procedures and customer service excellence
* Leadership qualities with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
