Purpose of the Job:
To assist in providing a range of healthy, well-balanced meals on a day-to-day basis for all children. To help with the housekeeping of the kitchen especially after mealtimes.
Personal Specification:
· Food Hygiene essential.
· Catering qualification desirable.
· Able to manage time and organise duties accordingly.
· Good communication skills.
· Understand various dietary needs and how to cater for them.
Main Duties:
· Follow all company's policies and procedures including food hygiene and health and safety.
· Keep all kitchen records up to date and hand them to the manager on a weekly basis.
· Comply with all COSHH and RIDDOR policies.
· Ensure a high standard of cleanliness is maintained within the kitchen.
· Sanitize the kitchen thoroughly on a daily/ weekly basis and follow cleaning checklist provided.
· Ensure rotation of products in line with dates.
· Ensuring any opened products are clearly labeled with an open and use by date.
· Ensure PPE is worn at all times and cleaned accordingly.
· Perform and meet targets set by management and director.
· Work with external agencies when required.
· Work any overtime required due to needs of the business.
· Cook for any functions.
· Attend staff meeting.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From £12.21 per hour
Expected hours: 27.5 per week
