Processing millions of transactions per second, serving eligibility requests in milliseconds, and designed for 99.999% availability are some of the system’s achievements. We are seeking talented software development engineers to lead innovation. The team faces complex technical and business problems on the roadmap, which require designing and developing solutions that consider use cases across various Amazon membership programs, not limited to Prime.
Key job responsibilities
1. Plan, design, and implement innovative software solutions to enhance the benefit experience for Prime members.
2. Optimize the existing technology stack for scalability and transform it into a common infrastructure supporting multiple subscription programs across Amazon.
3. Proactively collaborate with business leaders and technical teams to solve complex problems.
4. Quickly learn new solutions prioritized in the roadmap and contribute to their design and implementation.
5. Maintain high standards of operational excellence.

Basic Qualifications
* 3+ years of professional software development experience (non-internship).
* 2+ years experience in system design or architecture, including design patterns, reliability, and scalability.
* Experience programming with at least one software language.
* 3+ years full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
* Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
