About the role As a result of this continued growth we have an opportunity for an Accounting Manager working within our Finance Team. Self-motivated, with a 'can do' attitude, you'll have the drive to develop your knowledge and skills quickly in order to make a difference and be able to collaborate effectively as part of a small team. As this is a busy role it is essential that along with a meticulous and organised approach, you have the ability to prioritise tasks and manage your workload effectively. This role will have oversight and supervisory responsibility for an accounting team of 3 personnel who carry out accounts payable, intercompany as well as banking and treasury activities. Responsibilities will include: Complete month end financial accounting routines and corporate reporting schedules. Coordination of month end in line with corporate timelines. Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations. Complete monthly VAT returns. Complete Statutory Accounts & Tax Packs and other regulatory filings. Provide cover and support for the team. Ensure SOX compliance. Oversight & Supervisory activities: Weekly domestic and foreign payment runs. Monthly intercompany netting/settlements. Weekly cashflow forecasting to the central Treasury team. Accounts payable invoice processing. Fixed asset activities. Intercompany & Bank reconciliations (multi-currency). Oversight for submission of payroll to external bureau. Education & Experience Demonstrative experience in a similar role. Experience of supervising a small team of employees. Experience of using large business software, preferably Oracle. Advanced user of MS Office packages and especially Excel. Building proactive relationships with colleagues at all levels of the business. Solid administrative skills with the ability to deliver against tight deadlines. Ability to prioritise and manage workload and multiple tasks effectively at pace. Experience utilising Process Improvement methodologies and tools (i.e. Lean finance) would be advantageous. Recognised Accounting Qualification having undertaken some formal accounting training.
