Rate: £18.00 - £30.00/hour (Dependant on experience)
Job Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic Band 5 Pharmacy Technician to support a busy Acute Hospital. This is a patient facing, ongoing role, offering the opportunity to contribute to patient care across both, outpatient and inpatient pharmacy areas.
This is a hands on – clinical role requiring a thorough individual, with excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
* Dispense and accuracy-check prescriptions
* Support accurate medication history taking
* Liaise with nurses and doctors regarding discrepancies with patients’ medication to improve patient care
* Provide Counselling and complex medication advice to patients and other health care professional
* Work as part of the wider multidisciplinary team
* Ensure legal and professional standards are met in dispensing and supply
Essential Requirements
* GPhC Registration
* Previous experience working in a hospital pharmacy setting
* Great communication skills
