What You'll Be Doing
Setting and operating a Tornos CT20 sliding head lathe
Reading and interpreting technical drawings, CAD/CAM data, and machining instructions
Creating or modifying CNC programs to improve cycle times and tooling performance
Carrying out tool changes, adjusting offsets, and ensuring components meet tight tolerances
Quality checking finished parts using micrometers and Keyence measuring systems
Maintaining machine housekeeping including lubrication, tooling, and coolant levels
Working collaboratively with production, planning, toolroom, and maintenance teams
Recording production data and supporting continuous improvement
Performing routine machine maintenance
Keeping the work environment clean, safe, and efficient
What You'll Bring
Proven CNC Setter experience
Strong understanding of tooling, die setups, and metal forming processes
Confident reading technical drawings and using precise measuring tools
Mechanically minded with strong problem‑solving skills
Reliable, self‑motivated, and able to work independently
