We are seeking an organised, enthusiastic, and proactive Finance Business Partner Trainee to join our Finance Shared Services Function at our Head Office in Dunfermline. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop commercial and financial skills within a supportive, fast-paced environment. As a Finance Business Partner Trainee, you will work closely with experienced Finance Business Partners and leadership teams, supporting the delivery of financial insight, analysis, and reporting to aid decision-making and business performance. Youll gain exposure to a broad range of financial activities while building the foundations needed to become a trusted finance partner. Key Responsibilities Assist in the preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly management reports, providing accurate financial data and analysis to support performance tracking. Support business planning, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic initiatives under the guidance of senior finance team members. Help develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and reports for tasks such as cost centre reviews, reconciliations, and financial controls. Support the translation of financial data into clear, meaningful information for non-financial stakeholders. Assist with the development and improvement of system-based reporting, controls, and data processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Maintain an up-to-date understanding of financial processes, market trends, and relevant regulations, supporting informed business decisions. What Were Looking For Studying towards (or planning to study towards) a professional accounting qualification such as CIMA, ACCA, or ACA. A good understanding of basic financial principles, including financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and KPIs. Experience using Excel and financial systems; exposure to SAP or similar ERP systems is desirable but not essential. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to work with both finance and non-finance colleagues. Proactive mindset, strong attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality. Why Join Us?
