As an apprentice with CGL, you have the opportunity to grow and learn whilst earning. Our apprentices will have a starting salary of £15,037.56 during their first year. After 12 months, your earnings will adjust to match the National Minimum Wage for your age. As an Apprentice Recovery Worker, you will play an important part in delivering inclusive, person-centred support to those accessing our services. While following Change Grow Live's policies and values, you will help ensure that everyone we work with feels respected, valued, and empowered. You will also maintain confidentiality and uphold our commitment to equal opportunities, health, and safety for all staff, volunteers, and the people we support.

During your apprenticeship, you will be working towards the Level 2 Adult Care qualification over the duration of 15 months.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Learn During Your Apprenticeship:

Throughout your apprenticeship, you’ll gain skills and experience in areas such as:

1. Supporting the recovery team in engaging with people experiencing substance use challenges, providing tailored advice, support, and recovery-focused interventions to meet their needs.
2. Building therapeutic relationships and delivering personalised care plans with training and support.
3. Work closely with local Social Services Teams and Family Intervention Projects
4. Promote family members involvement to improve outcomes for children
5. Present cases at The Beacon Clinical meetings for Multi-disciplinary discussion where a change in circumstances/behaviour potentially changes the service users risk profile
6. Review ongoing care and treatment liaising closely with the full range of specialist works within the multi-disciplinary team both within The Beacon and the Family Safeguarding Team
7. Learning to develop and access ‘recovery resources,’ as well as peer and mutual support groups, to help individuals build their own recovery strategies…and much more!

About You:

We’re looking for someone with:

8. An interest in the social care field, particularly in substance use and recovery.
9. Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills, with a willingness to collaborate with managers, colleagues, and peers to achieve shared goals.
10. Effective time management and the ability to work independently when needed.
11. Familiarity with IT applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
12. A commitment to personal and professional development, with a proactive approach to learning.
13. A passion for creating positive outcomes for the people we support and for yourself.
