Engineering Design Manager Location: Dungannon Full-time | Permanent Salary: Competitively Hays Engineering is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a leading manufacturing business seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead a dynamic team comprising two Design Engineers and one Robotics Engineer. Working hours are 38.5 hours per week: Monday - Thursday: 7:00am to 4:00pm Friday: 7:00am to 2:00pm Your new role Lead and mentor the engineering team to ensure timely and successful project delivery. Oversee the full lifecycle of engineering projects-from design and development to testing-ensuring alignment with industry standards. Conduct root cause analysis and implement effective corrective actions. Collaborate with cross-functional departments to embed engineering solutions into broader project frameworks. Champion a culture of continuous improvement, fostering innovation and supporting professional growth. What you'll need to succeed Demonstrable experience in engineering management, ideally with a systems engineering focus. Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks. Hands-on experience with PLM and ERP systems. Proven ability to build Bills of Materials (BOMs) tailored to customer specifications. Solid understanding of hydraulic and electrical systems. Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with a track record of managing diverse teams and multiple concurrent projects.
