Compass Associates are proud to be supporting a respected national charity in the appointment of a Head of Adult Services to lead a regional portfolio across Scotland, focused on supporting autistic adults and individuals with learning disabilities.
You’ll be accountable for service quality, regulatory compliance (including the Care Inspectorate), workforce culture, and financial oversight across a range of settings.
Strategic leadership and delivery of adult support services across Scotland
Oversight of operational performance, quality, and safeguarding
Visible leadership for service managers and multidisciplinary teams
Regulatory responsibility including Care Inspectorate and adult protection compliance
Leading change initiatives, service redesign, and workforce development
Building strong partnerships with health boards, local authorities, and commissioning bodies
Financial and risk accountability at senior level
Significant leadership experience in adult care services, preferably autism or learning disability
Strong understanding of Scottish regulatory frameworks and Care Inspectorate requirements
Proven ability to manage risk, performance, and service development
Commercial and budgetary acumen, with clear accountability for outcomes
Experience delivering change and improvement across complex services
