As a Refurb Centre Technician / Field Service Engineer at Our taap, your primary focus will be the refurbishment process of returned water systems—ensuring every unit is restored to peak performance and ready to delight customers once again. As a Field Service Engineer at Our taap, you'll be the hero ensuring our customers get the most out of our game-changing water systems. Your job? Make installations a breeze, keep the Pure water flowing with top-notch maintenance, and sprinkle a bit of that our taap magic on every interaction.
Requirements
Key Tasks/Focuses
Refurbishment
* Diagnose root causes of product returns and carry out refurbishment of returned or broken water home systems, following specifications and training provided by the Quality Manager
* Ensure all repairs are completed correctly the first time to prevent repeat returns
* Maintain high standards of technical accuracy and attention to detail
* Collaborate with the Quality Manager to identify recurring issues and suggest process improvements that enhance repair quality and reduce future returns
Job completion and job numbers
* Cover your allocated region and assist others in your team if needed
* 100% attended as promised to all jobs allocated to you ensuring we never let our customers down
* High completion rate for all jobs either installing or repairing water systems for our customers
Repairs
* Carrying out repairs to our water home systems.
* Always identifying and fixing the issue first time, avoiding return visits
* Ensure customers are delighted with their home water system returned to full working order.
Installations
* Install water systems in customers’ homes.
* Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards, plumbing is error free and kitchen is left clean and tidy.
* Set up and demonstrated the water system for the customer, ensuring they enjoy all the amazing features of Our taap.
Communication and Teamwork
* Be a valued member of the team communicating with your regional lead to continue to improve results in your region
* Positive and frequent communication with the scheduling and stock teams to ensure issues are swiftly resolved
* Step up to support when your regional team needs help to complete jobs and ensure we don’t let customers down
Stock & process accuracy
* Follow all Stand Operating Procedures and defined processes, accurately recording information in our systems
* Record all stock consumption accurately in our systems to ensure your van stock aligns to system counts
Complete all stock takes accurately and on time
Skills Required
* Problem-solving skills that make challenges disappear
* Tackle basic plumbing tasks with ease – we're looking for someone who can navigate pipes like Mario (or Luigi!)
* A track record of being as reliable as our purified water – we want someone who's as dependable as the sunrise
* Your communication and people skills? Top-notch!
* Work independently like a pro and know how to juggle priorities
* Ability to be a team player, and work well under pressure
* Problem solving and conflict resolutions skills.
* GCSE or equivalent by experience
* Full clean UK driving license
* Forklift license is preferred but not essential as training will be provided
* Minimum 1 years’ experience in similar role
* Experience implementing process improvements
