Head of Clinical Services Lancashire Salary: £49,119 - £57,331 per annum DOE Hours: 36 Hours per week

Purpose
Responsible for ensuring the quality and standards of care in line with CQC standards or relevant bodies. Manage care services within the delegated budget, service specifications, and outcome measures.
Key Relationships
* Line management responsibility across all clinical services.
* Support and work alongside volunteers.
* Develop relationships with internal stakeholders such as Service Director, Medical Teams, and Clinical Quality Team.
* Engage with external stakeholders including CQC inspectors, ICB Quality Lead, and partner organizations.
Main Responsibilities:
* Manage the budget for care services, ensuring effective resource use and expenditure control.
* Highlight and manage risks impacting care, experience, or safety.
* Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
* Lead and demonstrate advanced knowledge and leadership skills within the multidisciplinary team.
* Deputise for the Service Director as needed.
* Maintain registration and adhere to NMC Code of Conduct, providing professional leadership.
* Ensure care delivery meets quality standards and statutory requirements.
* Drive continuous quality improvement through a quality improvement plan.
* Lead service transformation, change, and development projects.
* Manage medicines safely and undertake the Accountable Officer role if appropriate.
* Maintain high standards in record keeping, clinical audits, and feedback from service users.
* Support staff engagement, effective rostering, and out-of-hours support.
* Collaborate with other organizational areas like fundraising and marketing.
* Maintain a safe working environment and uphold confidentiality.
About You:
* Registered Nurse with a master's degree or equivalent experience.
* Management qualification or experience.
* Ability to achieve CQC/CI Registered Manager status.
* Continuous professional development evidence.
* Extensive clinical experience with leadership skills.
* Experience in service development, change management, and working across professional boundaries.
* Knowledge of healthcare policies, budgets, and quality governance.
* Competent in research, data analysis, and report writing.
* IT skills and willingness to work outside normal hours and travel.
