Job Description

1. Adhere to all safety policies and report hazards or violations.
2. Promote safe practices on the shop floor.
3. Lead new product development from concept through launch, including feasibility analysis and planning.
4. Apply project management tools to ensure projects meet timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
5. Design and develop molding processes, tooling, and equipment for compression, transfer, and injection molding.
6. Create detailed engineering drawings and BOMs using CAD software (, SolidWorks).
7. Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to source and evaluate rubber materials.
8. Support manufacturing teams during the transition from design to production.
9. Manage product data and schedules using ERP systems.
10. Troubleshoot technical issues related to molding processes and product design.
11. Conduct design and process reviews for efficiency improvements.
12. Monitor product performance and identify areas for improvement.
13. Stay informed on industry trends and emerging technologies.
14. Perform other duties as assigned.

The Successful Applicant

15. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
16. Strong knowledge of rubber molding processes (compression, transfer, injection).
17. Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).
18. Project management experience with ability to handle multiple projects.
19. Familiarity with ERP systems for product data and scheduling.
20. Understanding of rubber materials and curing processes.
21. Experience in new product development and feasibility analysis.
22. Knowledge of FEA and other engineering analysis tools is a plus.
23. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
24. Detail-oriented and committed to high-quality results.
25. Familiarity with quality management principles.
