Financial Controller - Truro/Hybrid - £55,000 - £60,000
Trial Balance Consulting are delighted to support a well-established Cornish organisation as they seek an experienced Financial Controller to lead their finance function. This full-time, permanent role is based in Truro with hybrid working and offers a great opportunity to take ownership of all accounting operations across a growing, multi-site business.
As Financial Controller, you’ll act as the number one in finance, overseeing a small team and working closely with the Board of Directors. You’ll manage cashflow, budgets, forecasts, management accounts, strategic planning and statutory submissions, while ensuring clear communication of financial information to non-finance colleagues.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading all day-to-day finance and accounting activity
- Ownership of management accounts, cashflow and KPI reporting
- Preparing budgets, forecasts, and scenario planning
- Acting as Company Secretary and managing audit/bank relationships
- Supporting commercial decisions and income-generation projects
- Leading, mentoring and developing the finance team
We’re looking for a qualified or highly experienced Financial Controller with strong technical accounting skills, excellent communication, and confidence presenting to senior stakeholders.
