Job Description:
We are excited to be searching for a new Head of Learning and Development to join our award-winning People Team at Gaucho. The primary function of this role is to provide comprehensive training, coaching, development, and overall implementation of the L&D strategy to support the People and Operations teams, as well as all Gaucho staff, to drive high performance and meet brand standards.
You will lead and manage the nationwide training team, taking a strategic approach to brand-wide interventions and solutions. The focus will be on shaping careers and increasing employee engagement. Additionally, you will work to continuously reflect, coordinate, and promote process improvements at all levels within the business, encouraging collaboration to reach full employee development potential.

The successful candidate:
* Has a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior training role, with exposure to facilitating and writing training for various departments at a multi-site level.
* Possesses strategic vision, with the ability to think strategically and execute using innovative approaches and the latest technologies.
* Has strong experience managing LMS systems and creating dynamic content.
* Possesses strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and priorities across all levels of the business, including managing the wider training team.
* Has strong analytical skills to assess training needs and measure the impact of L&D programs.
* Requires experience managing relationships up and down the organizational hierarchy, with excellent communication skills and comfort discussing organizational design with senior leaders.
* Has deep understanding of L&D practices, including the evolution towards skills-based organizations, and awareness of current market trends.
Responsibilities:
* Assess the needs of the company through collaboration with department heads, observation, and industry knowledge, creating and delivering bespoke development packages for all departments.
* Support the L&D Manager North & South in organizing the annual training calendar to facilitate the Gaucho L.A.B, the induction training program for new starters, including location facilitation, managing the calendar, trainer rotas, attendance, and related logistics.
* Plan and deliver the L&D strategy, frameworks, and the ongoing development of the L&D team.
* Take full accountability for the brand’s L&D budget, reviews, and reporting.
* Own the brand’s e-learning platform, management development, and career pathways.

*This role requires presence 5 days a week at Gaucho Head Office in Oxford Circus, London, with some travel to regional and London restaurants. Candidates must have hospitality L&D experience.*
