Salary: £60,00 - 70,000 depending on experience, plus benefits. We’re looking for a Health and Safety Manager to be at the heart of our construction activities at Sizewell C (SZC). In this pivotal role, you’ll ensure that all safety regulations and procedures are not only met but exceeded. You’ll collaborate closely with Project Managers, Construction Leads, and Tier 1 contractors to uphold the highest standards of health and safety across every phase of the project. Key Dimensions of the Role Reporting directly to the Senior H&S Manager, you’ll lead and develop a team of health and safety professionals. Influence safety performance across the project supply chain. Drive safety implementation from pre-construction through to commissioning. Support multidisciplinary teams and Tier 1 contractors with large workforces. Key Responsibilities Champion a culture of zero harm across SZC and its partners. Ensure full compliance with CDM Regulations and industry standards. Lead constructability and operability reviews to reduce risk. Provide expert guidance and visible leadership in all safety matters. Advise leadership on accident prevention and health strategies. What We’re Looking For Proven experience in large-scale construction or infrastructure projects. Strong knowledge of CDM Regulations and experience with ONR/HSE. NEBOSH/IOSH qualifications; Chartered IOSH Membership (or working towards). Excellent communication and leadership skills. Skilled in investigations, report writing, and action planning. Essential Skills & Knowledge Strong networking and relationship-building abilities. Results-driven with a collaborative mindset. Deep understanding of national/international HSE standards. Expertise in infrastructure, civils, and construction activities. Desirable Skills Knowledge of ONR Licence Conditions. Qualifications & Experience Essential: Significant HSE experience in large project environments. IOSH/NEBOSH qualified; Chartered membership of a professional HSE body. Proven track record of delivering excellent safety outcomes. Experience in behavioural safety and leadership development. Desirable: NEBOSH HSE Diploma or European equivalent.
