The Cloud Engineer will play a key role in operating, supporting and evolving Arrow’s multi-cloud estate, with AWS as the primary platform and Azure as a secondary environment. Working within the Technology team, you will help design and implement secure, scalable and resilient cloud infrastructure that underpins critical business and investment platforms. This is a hands-on engineering role suited to a pragmatic technologist who thrives in a fast-moving environment. You will contribute to infrastructure as code initiatives, hybrid connectivity, governance controls and cloud optimisation, while collaborating closely with Information Security, Data and wider IT teams. Key Responsibilities Operate and support our AWS (primary) and Azure (secondary) environments in production Contribute to the design and implementation of secure, scalable cloud infrastructure Build and manage infrastructure using Terraform, following an infrastructure-as-code-first approach Support hybrid connectivity between cloud and on-prem environments Assist in implementing governance controls across multi-account AWS environments Support Azure platform services including Virtual Machines, networking, storage and identity Monitor cloud environments for security, performance and cost optimisation Contribute to disaster recovery design and resilience testing across AWS and Azure Work closely with Information Security to maintain secure cloud configurations Support CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure deployments Provide technical escalation support to the wider IT team Contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing across the team Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to modernise and enhance the cloud platform About you Strong hands-on AWS experience in production environments Experience with multi-account AWS environments (AWS Organizations preferred) Solid working knowledge of Azure infrastructure services Experience in hybrid cloud environments (cloud ↔ on-prem) Strong understanding of cloud networking fundamentals (VPC/VNet, DNS, VPN, Direct Connect/ExpressRoute) In-depth knowledge of IAM, RBAC and cloud security best practices Experience with core AWS services (EC2, S3, VPC, Load Balancing, Auto Scaling, CloudWatch) Experience supporting Azure VMs, VNets, Storage Accounts and Entra ID (Azure AD) Hands-on Terraform experience, including writing reusable modules (required) Understanding of CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure deployments Experience monitoring production environments, incident troubleshooting and root cause analysis
