Nursery Nurse / Level 2 or 3 Nursery Practitioner
Primary School Nursery, Cramlington
Milk Education is seeking a Level 2 or 3 Nursery Practitioner to join a welcoming early years team within a primary school nursery in the Cramlington area. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting young children during their early development in a school based setting.
The Role
You will support children’s learning and development in line with the EYFS, working closely with colleagues to create a positive and engaging nursery environment.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Planning and delivering age appropriate activities that support children’s learning and development
2. Creating a safe, caring environment where children feel confident, supported and encouraged to explore
3. Observing, assessing and recording progress to contribute to learning journeys and development plans
4. Building positive relationships with parents, carers and school staff
5. Providing personal care such as feeding, toileting and changing while maintaining dignity and comfort
6. Supporting positive behaviour and social development in line with school and nursery policies
7. Ensuring the health, safety and wellbeing of all children at all times
Requirements
8. Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Early Years or an equivalent
9. Experience working in a nursery or early years setting
10. A good understanding of the EYFS and early child development
11. Confidence supporting children with a range of needs in an inclusive environment
12. A warm, enthusiastic approach and commitment to early years practice
