Key responsibilities
* Check and monitor incoming NHS emails, responding to patient inquiries.
* Sort and prioritize clinical correspondence for GPs, including signposting to other professionals like clinical pharmacists.
* Extract and code information from clinical letters into patient notes.
* Arrange appointments, referrals, tests, and follow-ups.
* Prepare patients for consultations by taking histories and basic readings.
* Perform clinical tasks such as dipping urine, taking blood pressure, ECGs, and phlebotomy.
* Complete basic forms and assist with documentation for the GP's approval.
* Explain treatment procedures to patients.
* Assist GPs in liaising with outside agencies for advice or patient admission.
* Support immunizations and wound care procedures.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* GCSE grade A-C in English and Maths or equivalent.
* Experience in healthcare settings.
* Proficiency in office software (e.g., Microsoft Office).
* Experience within primary care preferred.

* Knowledge of EMIS web and healthcare databases.
* Customer service or reception training is advantageous.
