A warm and nurturing SEN school in Bideford is looking for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their dedicated team from September 2025 on a part-time basis (3 days a week). The Role: Supporting teaching and learning across KS1 and KS2, with a focus on SEN pupils Delivering targeted interventions and small-group support Assisting with classroom management and pupil engagement Working closely with class teachers and SENCOs to provide personalised support Helping create a safe, structured and encouraging learning environment The Ideal Candidate Will: Hold HLTA status or have equivalent experience in a primary or SEN setting Be confident working with pupils with a range of special educational needs (e.g. ASD, ADHD, SEMH, MLD) Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills Be flexible, patient, and resilient Have experience with behaviour management and differentiated learning Trial Day: All applicants will be invited for a paid trial day prior to the September start, giving you the chance to meet the team and pupils, and see the school in action.
