We are looking for a Team Leader to effectively manage and drive a team of Property Managers, ensuring company standards are met and good customer service is provided within company policy, legislative, and regulatory requirements. This position is based at Walmsley's Caversham branch.

Key responsibilities as a Team Leader

Your main duties will include overseeing and supporting a team of property managers and assisting senior staff in achieving objectives and targets.

* Managing team performance and conducting monthly 1-2-1 meetings with Property Managers
* Spot checking portfolio reports to ensure KPIs are met
* Holding weekly and ad-hoc team meetings to discuss and follow company and departmental procedures
* Assisting in the day-to-day operations of the property management team
* Ensuring compliance tasks are up to date according to company policy and legislation
* Training and developing team members
* Working closely with the branch network to maintain good communication and relationships
* Supporting the manager with interviewing and recruiting new staff

Skills and experience required as a Team Leader

Ideal candidates will have a background in residential lettings, property management, or estate agency, or experience in negotiating insurance claims and contracts. Holding ARLA 1 or a Lettings Technical Award is required.

* Experience managing a residential property portfolio (Essential)
* At least 6 months supervising or managing staff (Desirable)
* Knowledge of lettings and property management legislation (Essential)
* Ability to work under pressure (Essential)
* Strong problem-solving skills (Essential)
* Experience with Propco or similar property management software (Desirable)
