Please note that this is a part-time role working Thursdays and Fridays only, 15 hours per week. There is also a requirement to provide cover during holidays for our other care home in Penrith, Winters Park.
HC-One is seeking a Maintenance Operative with solid experience in maintenance, building, DIY, cleaning, and housekeeping. You should have technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, and ideally some IT skills. When communicating with residents or co-workers, kindness and consideration are essential.
As a Maintenance Operative, your responsibilities include ensuring our residents live in a proactively inspected and well-maintained environment. You will carry out audits, keep records up to date, and perform tasks such as replacing taps or mixer valves, fitting extractor fans, repairing timber on windows, or putting up wallpaper, always prioritizing kindness.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. You must recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect and know the procedures for reporting concerns. Attendance at safeguarding training and the ability to seek advice and escalate concerns are required.
