Note: This position will be based at our new 6th Form on Whitaker Road, Derby, DE23 6AR, not at our main school site.

St Andrews Academy is seeking a proactive, organised, and friendly Administrative Assistant to join our dedicated team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive, fast-paced school environment where every day is different.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide administrative support to the school office, senior leadership team, and teaching staff.
2. Greet visitors, manage phone calls and emails, and maintain a welcoming reception area.
3. Handle pupil records, attendance, and admissions data.
4. Assist with the organisation of school events and trips.
5. Process correspondence, reports, and documents with accuracy and confidentiality.
6. Support the day-to-day operations of the school with efficiency and professionalism.
7. Assist with financial processes within the school and in liaison with the wider admin team.

St Andrew’s is a day/residential special school for pupils with severe learning difficulties and ASD aged 11-19 years. Our special settings cater for children and young people with a wide range of Special Educational Needs, from profound medical needs and life-limiting conditions to severe, moderate, and sensory needs, as well as social, emotional, and mental health needs requiring support to navigate their world.
