Location: South Warwickshire – Leamington Spa / Stratford-upon-Avon
About the Team and the Role:
Warwickshire County Council mental health services are delivered within the framework of a section 75 Partnership Agreement. Our staff and management team are seconded to Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust (CWPT) to deliver integrated health and social care mental health services aiming to achieve the best possible outcomes for those we work with.
Following a recent Transformation programme, we moved away from a generic mental health provision to a model that better enables social care staff to use their specialist skills and expertise whilst continuing to work collaboratively with our Health and VCSE partners. To support this, our social care staff are directly line managed by social care managers.
Key Requirements:
The successful applicant will be a qualified registered social worker and provide management within an integrated team setting. You will work closely with other social care teams, as well as a range of NHS colleagues, to provide inspirational leadership and champion the delivery of our social care and Care Act duties and responsibilities.
Ideally you will have some management experience but most importantly we are looking for someone with energy, enthusiasm, superb communication skills and the ability to bring out the best from the people you manage. The successful applicant will have excellent organisational skills and an understanding of the strengths-based, person-centred practice which underpins the ethos of our team. You will be a resilient and creative leader, and in return we will invest in your development and career progression. You will also provide reflective supervision to develop and support the skills and knowledge of your team.
The population of South Warwickshire is over 250,000 and includes the historic market towns of Warwick and Kenilworth, the regency splendour of Royal Leamington Spa, Shakespeare’s birthplace Stratford-upon-Avon as well as hundreds of acres of beautiful Warwickshire countryside.
