What You’ll Do
* Lead Video Monitoring Initiatives: Direct strategic initiatives focused on defining and implementing monitoring requirements across operational domains, ensuring alignment with service reliability goals and operational excellence. Actively engage with operational teams to guide them in identifying key monitoring needs.
* Innovate and Improve: Push the boundaries of current video monitoring by researching and integrating the latest solutions and technology to enhance operational efficiency and service excellence.
* Leverage Data for Monitoring Excellence: Champion a data‑driven approach by utilising operational metrics, logs, telemetry and analytics to identify trends, detect anomalies and uncover optimisation opportunities. Collaborate with Data Engineering and Analytics teams to build intelligent dashboards, predictive models and advanced alerting systems.
* Foster collaboration and build strong bridges across diverse team functions, connecting strategy with data insights and platform operations to deliver shared ownership throughout the monitoring lifecycle.
* Collaborate with Cross‑Functional Teams: Work closely with the Product, Core Engineering, Video Engineering and Architecture teams to align monitoring capabilities with market needs and the overall product architecture, ensuring seamless integration and performance scalability.
* Resource Management: Allocate resources effectively, manage budgets for monitoring projects and oversee the monitoring engineering team to ensure project goals are met on time and within budget.
What You’ll Bring
* Expertise in system reliability and monitoring – deep understanding of operational approaches and experience developing monitoring and observability solutions.
* Understanding of end‑to‑end video processing workflows and design experience for high‑demand broadcast environments.
* Leadership and team management skills – proven ability to lead engineers, foster innovation, accountability, collaboration and deliver projects successfully.
* Strategic vision – ability to align video monitoring strategy with broader company goals and drive innovation while maintaining practical project management.
* Proactive initiative – demonstrates a clear understanding of strategic objectives and drives alignment to support the organisational vision.
* Problem‑solving prowess – skilled at navigating technical and process challenges and optimising monitoring to meet modern broadcasting demands.
* Communication skills – excellent interpersonal communications, able to explain complex video technologies to non‑technical stakeholders and collaborate effectively.

Your Office Space – Osterley
Our Osterley Campus is a 10‑minute walk from Syon Lane train station. Shuttle buses run to and from Osterley, Gunnersbury, Ealing Broadway and South Ealing tube stations, with bike shelters and showers available. On campus you’ll find 13 subsidised restaurants, cafés and a Waitrose, a subsidised gym, cinema, car wash and beauty salon.
