This brand new service is home of individuals with Physical and Learning Disabilities. You will be working with these incredible individuals to support with day-to-day independence, enhance their various skills and support them with daily activities as well as providing emotional support. The service promotes the importance of the “do with and not do for” approach and has had a very positive impact on these incredible individuals. The individuals we support have different personalities with different likes and hobbies. You could be joining the people we support in going out and about in the community and provide them with new life experiences. By being part of this team, you would play an influential role in enabling the people we support to lead fulfilling and independent lives and see first-hand how you make a difference to them. You will be expected to support with daily aspects of living, including: Provide personal care, medication administration, and support for individual needs. Assist with daily living skills, including cooking, cleaning, laundry, budgeting, and maintaining a healthy diet. Support individuals in accessing the community, attending appointments, and maintaining relationships. Encourage participation in hobbies, social activities, and skill-building to promote independence and wellbeing. Offer companionship and communication support, including speech development for one individual. Work collaboratively within a team, complete required documentation accurately, and contribute new ideas What skills and experience do you need? Experience working with people or customers Experience working as part of a team Literacy and numeracy skills IT skills Experience working with vulnerable individuals, particularly those with mental health needs or learning disabilities, is desirable but not essential. We provide full training and ongoing development to support your success in the role. What are the pay and benefits? Competitive salary of £24,531.00 FTE (£12.75 per hour) Sleep-in rate: £62.64 per 8 hour shift Waking night rate: 20% Enhancement from 11pm to 7am Enhanced DBS which we will pay for 26 days (pro rata) holiday entitlement plus Bank holidays, rising to 27 days after 1 years’ service or cash equivalent of 1 days’ annual leave Pension scheme.
