Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our Agency team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes around Wiltshire and Devizes, assisting with daily living activities and ensuring the highest standards of care. You will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for residents while working closely with healthcare professionals to implement care plans effectively. This role is a zero-hour contract.
Responsibilities
* Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Support residents with mobility and physical activities, ensuring their safety at all times.
* Help with meal preparation and feeding as needed, promoting nutritional health.
* Maintain accurate records of resident progress and report any changes to the healthcare team.
* Collaborate with other staff members to develop and implement individualised care plans.
* Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a positive environment.
Skills
* Proficient in English, both spoken and written, to communicate effectively with residents and team members.
* Strong communication skills
* Experience in a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not essential.
* Familiarity with IT systems for maintaining records and documentation is beneficial.
* Ability to follow care plans meticulously while adapting to the needs of each resident.
* A valid driving licence is preferred.
