As an Accounts Manager, you’ll manage a diverse portfolio of non-audit clients across multiple industries, working closely with business owners to provide expert financial guidance along with managing the Accounts team. Location: Cheltenham
Employment Type: Full-Time Monday-Friday
Hours: 08:30-5:30
Salary: Competitive depending on experience

Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and review annual accounts and tax computations for a diverse client portfolio.
* Ensure timely filing of accounts and tax returns with relevant authorities.
* Maintain accurate accounting records and provide management figures as needed.
* Build and maintain strong client relationships, attending meetings and offering expert advice.
* Stay up to date with cloud accounting software, advising clients on best practices.
* Oversee and review VAT returns, payrolls, and compliance with tax regulations.
* Proactively manage client queries and liaise with HMRC when necessary.
* Support the day-to-day management of a growing department, mentoring junior team members.
* Identify opportunities for business development and attend networking events.
To be Successful:
* ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent) or qualified by experience in a similar role.
* Self-motivated, highly organized, and proactive approach to workload.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently at all levels.
* A detail-oriented mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities.
* Adaptability and professionalism under pressure.
* A passion for delivering outstanding client service.
* A proven ability to work collaboratively with teams and senior management.
* A strong understanding of accounting regulations, tax compliance, VAT, and PAYE.
* Supervisory experience and a talent for mentoring team members.
