About the Opportunity

We are recruiting for a Strategy & Engagement Manager in our Early Careers team. Our young people are the future of our business and we're looking to enhance and build our offering to make Amentum an attractive place to join and explore a varied career journey.

This role is an opportunity to be a part of growing this offering through building excellent relationships and evolving our overall Early Careers strategy. We have a bold growth strategy for 2030 and how we capture and nurture our young people will be key to making us successful. The position will support hybrid working and will be full-time, based anywhere in the UK with travel ad-hoc as appropriate to any of our Amentum offices or sites - more regularly to Warrington as it's our hub/central office.

Key responsibilities will be:

* Produce, maintain and improve the overarching Early Careers strategy .
* Be the conduit for all Early Careers communications with business stakeholders.
* Create and govern a stakeholder working group to facilitate structured and incremental improvements to the programmes developed for Early Careers.
* Work in partnership with central resourcing partners and Divisional resourcing partners to ensure Early Careers members have meaningful, appropriate and billable work.
* Work with business and HR stakeholders (Head of Profession, Divisional Leads, Strategic Capability and Capability Growth Leads) to identify future needs for Early Careers members, validating work pipeline and roles for transition.
* Project and facilitate annual compensation changes in alignment with planned timelines (liaising with HR colleagues in Compensation and Payroll).
* Partner with the Culture & Benefits team to lever any free benefits for Early Careers members and their managers from our established partnerships and update content for attraction and branding (social media and website).
* Gather intelligence and data to support initiatives needed around attraction, retention and employee experience for Early Careers.
* Attend and support the organisation and facilitation of Early Careers events and award ceremonies as appropriate, maintaining a calendar of all events for improved planning and management.
* Work through other Business Line contractual commitments made to support the achievement of designated targets for Early Careers.
* Own and maintain the Early Careers budget, working with other leads to ensure equitable experience and distribution of funds.
* Oversee safeguarding compliance for Early Careers colleagues.
Ensure equitable access to all Early Careers programmes.

* Previous experience of running an Early Careers programme.
* Be a clear, confident communicator (both verbally and written).
* Able to negotiate, influence and build trust with stakeholders.
* Be engaging and a good listener (hear what's also not being said).
* An ability to build gravitas and credibility with senior stakeholders.
* Be organised, methodical and work to plan and budget.
* Be a great team player, collaborating and solving problems together.
* Experience of resource management practices.
* Contribute beyond role boundaries to deliver collectively as a HR team.
