Essex Recovery Foundation is a charity with a growing recovery community working together to improve treatment and recovery services across Essex. You will be part of a supportive, purpose-led organisation that is committed to making recovery visible and strengthening communities across Essex The role: The Marketing Officer will play a vital role in communicating Essex Recovery Foundation’s mission. They will use social media and other communication platforms, such as MailChimp, Canva, CapCut and Squarespace, to create content which captures Essex Recovery Foundation’s mission and supports the charity’s wider strategic objectives. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is creative, detail-driven, an excellent copywriter and is aware of current social media and marketing trends. Key responsibilities: Developing a social media calendar which aligns with Essex Recovery Foundation’s wider goals and considers events, campaigns, key events, themes and trends. Designing eye-catching visuals on Canva (graphics, quote cards, infographics) tailored to each channel. Producing short-form video (Reels, TikToks, Stories) to improve reach and engagement. Scheduling content across a variety of platforms Monitoring social media and responding to comments and direct messages Working with the wider Essex Recovery Foundation team to understand their key messages and and to help in promoting upcoming events and projects. Updating Essex Recovery Foundation’s website, ensuring that content is up to date and relevant. Creating relevant and engaging emails and newsletters in MailChimp to send to our wider database Attending community events (such as Recovery Spaces, Community Voice, Cornerstone, Podcast Recordings and the Festival) to capture images and videos. Supporting the collection of community stories and case studies (with consent) to highlight lived-experience voices and demonstrate impact.
