Electrician
Location: Eastleigh (covering South Region)
Salary: £26 per hour + additional earnings through on-call rota and overtime
Hours: 40 hours per week
Contract: Temporary with Permanent Opportunity, Full Time
The Role
We are looking for a qualified Electrician to join our Responsive Repairs Team. You will play a key role in delivering responsive and emergency electrical repairs across the South region.
Typical tasks will include:
Replacing damaged electrical accessories
Electrical fault diagnosis and repair
Partial rewires
Distribution board upgrades
Electrical maintenance and installations within residential propertiesYou will primarily work across the Bournemouth, Poole, Southampton, Portsmouth, Petersfield, Bordon and Guildford areas.

Key Responsibilities
Complete electrical repairs and installations safely and efficiently
Deliver a first-time fix wherever possible
Diagnose faults across electrical circuits and heating systems
Maintain excellent customer service standards
Work independently while managing your workload effectivelyOn-Call Commitment
You will participate in an on-call rota approximately once every six weeks, running Thursday to Thursday.
This includes:
Standby allowance
Additional payment for each completed call-out
Payments on top of your basic salaryRequirements
Essential:
18th Edition Wiring Regulations
NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent qualification
Completed AM2
City & Guilds qualifications such as:
2360 Parts 1 & 2
(Apply online only) Levels 2 & 3
or approved equivalent
Practical experience working in accordance with BS 7671
Experience in inspection, testing and commissioning of installations
Full UK Driving Licence
Strong fault-finding skills
Ability to work independently
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Good IT skillsDesirable:
City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent
City & Guilds 2394 / 2395 (inspection and testing)
Experience working in social housing
Experience with NICEIC certification or similar systemsWhat We Provide
