Here at The Mick George Group we are looking for a Transport Co-Ordinator to join the Concrete team.
Job Overview:
Deliver Mick George Concrete products to sites, promoting the company's image by ensuring customer service and perception are maintained to the highest standard.
Responsibilities:
1. Ensure all drivers have the correct PPE issued and maintained.
2. Ensure all vehicles are not knowingly overloaded.
3. Ensure all drivers carry out daily vehicle checks, record defects, and report major defects immediately.
4. Complete conveyance notes accurately, including times, signatures, and additional materials.
5. Follow working time directive for the fleet.
6. Maintain cleanliness and good working order of truck mixer fleet.
7. Record fuel usage, submit receipts, and ensure correct fuel card use.
8. Answer calls professionally, detail customer requirements, and communicate with relevant departments.
9. Comply with Quality Assurance Manual and document control procedures.
10. Adhere to health, safety, and environmental policies, reporting non-conformances.
11. Communicate with customers, manage expectations, update on delays, and take/book orders.
12. Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and transport regulations.
Qualifications/Experience:
1. Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
2. Flexibility, attention to detail, and initiative.
3. Organized with polite telephone manner.
4. Experience in construction, aggregates, or waste industry is advantageous but not essential.
5. Proactive and driven attitude.
