Job Responsibilities
1. Manage the day-to-day running of their section within the kitchen.
2. Manage cost and quality control for incoming and outgoing goods.
3. Ensure proper storage conditions and stock rotation.
4. Maintain kitchen hygiene at all times.
5. Monitor costs and wastage.
6. Take and document daily temperature readings and adhere to hygiene procedures.
7. Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and appearance.
8. Assist in training and developing junior team members.
9. Perform any other duties relevant to the role.
Qualifications and Skills
* NVQ Level 2 in Food Preparation and Cooking or equivalent qualification (essential).
* Food Safety Level 1 Certificate (essential).
* Minimum 1 year experience in a busy kitchen environment.
* Knowledge of all kitchen sections and various cooking styles.
* Good knowledge of EHO regulations, due diligence, temperature checking, and record keeping.
* Ability to work well in a team.
