Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Lead Fencer located all over the UK. The Lead Fencer will oversee and execute the installation of various fencing systems, including agricultural, equestrian, and commercial fencing. Daily responsibilities include managing a team, measuring and marking fence lines, preparing sites, installing posts and fencing, and ensuring project completion on time and within quality standards. The role also involves maintaining tools and equipment, ensuring safety compliance, and supporting field teams with effective communication and problem-solving.
This role could and will take you all over the country so applicants must be happy to stay away from home during the week.
Qualifications
* Prior experience in fencing installation, including agricultural, equestrian, and commercial systems
* Leadership skills with the ability to manage and guide a team effectively
* Proficiency in using hand tools and modern fencing equipment
* Knowledge of site preparation, measurement, and marking for fencing projects
* Understanding of safety and environmental compliance in construction and rural work environments
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
* Physical stamina to handle outdoor work in various weather conditions
* Valid UK driver’s license and ability to commute to Keyworth
* 360, post knocker, cat scan and genny, telehandler and skidsteer tickets would be beneficial but not essential
