The Role
You will support learners across Criminology programmes, helping them develop subject knowledge and critical thinking skills linked to real‑world contexts.
* Deliver engaging lessons across Criminology courses (A Level / WJEC / Access)
* Teach topics such as crime and deviance, criminal justice systems, and theories of crime
* Support learners with coursework, assignments and exam preparation
* Monitor progress and provide clear, constructive feedback
* Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
What We’re Looking For
We welcome candidates from a range of backgrounds.
Essential
* Experience teaching Criminology or a related subject (e.g. Sociology, Law)
* Strong subject knowledge
* Ability to support academic learners
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* A flexible and reliable approach
Desirable
* Teaching qualification (PGCE, CertEd, DET)
* Experience within Further Education or Sixth FormIndustry experience within criminal justice or related fields
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
