Job Purpose
To characterize biotherapeutic recombinant T-cell receptor molecules and related products using protein characterization and mass spectrometry techniques, contributing to method development for biopharmaceutical products, including peptide mapping (LC-MS/MS) and intact mass analysis.
Key Responsibilities
* Supporting impurity characterization and identification in drug substances and products.
* Performing protein sequencing and post-translational modification analysis, including glycosylation.
* Supporting process development through characterization of process intermediates.
* Developing and validating analytical methods such as peptide mapping and mass spectrometry.
* Preparing study protocols and reports.
* Planning experiments, meeting deadlines, and advising on risks and deviations.
* Expanding scientific knowledge and mentoring peers.
* Maintaining accurate laboratory records and effective use of equipment.
* Communicating research findings to colleagues and management.
* Adhering to safety protocols in laboratories.
Person Specification
Essential
* At least 2 years' experience in recombinant protein or antibody analytical development or QC in industry.
* Experience with HPLC methods for recombinant proteins or antibodies.
* Experience with LC-MS method development.
* Expertise in electrophoretic, chromatographic, or mass spectrometry techniques.
* Knowledge of assay qualification/validation and GMP principles.
* Strong record-keeping and team collaboration skills.
Desirable
* Understanding of stability studies and glycosylation analysis.
* Experience with method transfer and external collaborations.
* Conference presentation experience.
* Knowledge of analytical support for clinical trial materials.
Education & Qualifications
* Essential: BSc or MSc in biochemistry, biotechnology, or related field.
* Desirable: PhD in related discipline.
