Senior Divisional Manager | Technical Engineering, QHSE, Design & Projects
Elevation Design & Projects are working with a leading manufacturer to recruit a Product Engineer into a growing engineering function.
This Product Engineer role focuses on developing, testing and delivering new products and components. You’ll collaborate with Design, Engineering, CAD, Project and BOM teams, owning engineering challenges around cost, weight, complexity and manufacturability.
You’ll support validation, testing and NPI build phases while working closely with suppliers to ensure designs meet legislative and safety-critical requirements and integrate smoothly into production.
Responsibilities
* Develop and deliver robust, cost-effective product designs
* Own component and assembly specification, testing and validation
* Create BOMs, weight and cost estimates and technical documentation
* Drive design improvements and modularity
* Support NPI builds and product launches
* Work closely with suppliers, partners and test bodies
* Resolve cross-functional engineering issues efficiently
Experience – Product Engineer
* HND/HNC in Engineering preferred
* 3+ years’ engineering experience ideal
* Strong problem-solving and project delivery skills
* CAD experience beneficial
* Experience with FMEA, risk assessment and validation testing
* Confident communicator in a fast-paced environment
