The Role
We are looking for an experienced Power BI Analyst to support the design and delivery of a key Inclusion and Needs Insight Tool across Social Care and Education.
This is a hands-on role where you will work closely with analysts, service leads and data owners to model data, develop high-quality Power BI dashboards, and produce trusted insights that support strategic and operational decision-making.
You will be expected to contribute from day one and take ownership of the analytical delivery within a short, outcome-focused project.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop and maintain Power BI semantic models and dashboards
2. Build and optimise DAX measures and KPIs
3. Work with Social Care and Education teams to understand requirements and translate them into clear, actionable reporting
4. Source, validate and profile data from multiple systems
5. Resolve data quality and definition issues
6. Apply best practice for performance, usability and accessibility
7. Support testing, documentation and handover to internal teams
Essential Skills & Experience
8. Strong hands-on experience as a Power BI Analyst / Developer
9. Advanced Power BI (Desktop & Service) and DAX skills
10. Solid data modelling experience (star schema, dimensions, measures)
11. Strong SQL and experience working with relational data
12. Proven experience delivering dashboards in real-world service environments
13. Comfortable working with ambiguous requirements and multiple stakeholders
Desirable
14. Experience within Social Care, Education or Public Sector analytics
15. Familiarity with inclusion, SEND or needs-based datasets
16. Experience working with sensitive or regulated data
