Teaching Personnel are working in collaboration with a mainstream secondary school in Nuneaton, Warwickshire to appoint a passionate teacher of food technology to work full time in September.

Rate of Pay: To Scale (MPS/UPS)
Hours: Full time, term time only (Mon-Fri)
Location: Secondary School, CV10
Start Date: September 2025
Person Specification:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) desired- but individuals who have experience teaching food technology will be considered
- Strong subject based knowledge and awareness of national curriculum
- L2 in Food Safety and Hygiene
- Excellent school based references and proven track record teaching food technology successfully in UK secondary schools
- Confident behaviour management skills and strong classroom presence
- Strong knowledge of health and safety protocols and safeguarding principles
Job Roles/Responsibilities:
- Plan varied lessons in line with the national curriculum, suitable to Years 7-11
- Deliver engaging food technology lessons presenting a mixture of theory and practical
- Manage classrom and kitchen behaviour effectively, ensuring pupil safety is at the centre of everything you do
- Assess pupil progress on a regular basis and provide them with insightful feedback to support with their learning
- Collaborate with colleagues within the design and technology department
